Brian:  Welcome to listenN. I’m Brian Gahan and this podcast focuses on the stories that are buried deep inside all conversations. Be it the kind of conversation you have with someone whose life experience is full of interesting POVs and insights or the kind of conversation you have inside your own head around your own life experiences. I wanted to start this podcast because I have a love for story, people’s story, and the kind of stories that come out of people through having a deep conversation around their life or their experience or the subject matter that we’re talking about. My life has been full of many experiences. I was lucky enough to travel, education. I had some health issues, spirituality. My work experience took me from the restaurant business to the construction business. I spent some time even as a head-hunter for a year and a half, and then I ended up in real estate, but not the house on the corner kind of real estate. This was new construction real estate. This was selling a dream to people, a vision to people.

Brian:  Then I ended up in the advertising business where I had a 21-year career as the creative lead with a multitude of clients in a multitude of sectors. From that I learned that everybody, everybody I came in contact with had an interesting story. Some people’s stories are so unique and so buried that it takes a deep conversation to bring them to the surface. Pulling something from my past, I studied improv for a number of years. I wasn’t very good at it, but it did teach me the concept of yes, and, and the concept of making something come to life from nothing. When I talk with people, I’m talking to them not as an interviewer. I’m talking to them as somebody who’s hearing their story and saying yes, and.

Brian:  I use this technique to uncover their story and bring it to life in a way that maybe it’s never been done before. There’s going to be people from all different walks of life. There’s going to be people from the health industry people, creative people, entertainers, you name it, scientists. It doesn’t matter where they come from. What matters is the story that they’re telling and the subject matter that we’re talking about. The goal of each episode is to introduce you to somebody who has an interesting story. Hopefully through hearing their story, you’ll be able to take something away with you that helps you with your own. With all of that in mind, please subscribe.
